In the UK there seem to be virtually no printed content available for us older people. Saga magazine arrived on the doorstep at age 50, full of insurance quotes and advertisements for cruises – not exactly the future a lot of our generation envisaged. Occasionally magazines and newspapers touch on the older generation, but not in a dedicated mainstream way. Today, the dialogue has certainly opened up, but we feel the time is right for a bit of a step up and out; touchable, feel-good gloss in the form of our magazine.
Where is the stylish, engaged, engaging, challenging, out there writing and un re-touched photography? The rich, real-life stories of the extraordinary ordinary people, who have so much to share and tell of their life adventures? The experiences of a post-WWII generation who have seen major shifts in feminism, contraception, equal opportunities, freedom to think and do as they wish with no boundaries other than self-imposed ones as never before.
